As Wikipedia simply says...
Page layout is the part of graphic design that deals in the arrangement and style treatment of elements on a page.
I'll add...
Remember the C.R.A.P. Principle:
Contrast,
Repetition,
Alignment,
Proximity
Composition is the placement and arrangement of visual elements.
These elements in the overall design relate to each other and to the whole work of art.
I am a firm believer in the principles of contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity and I understand the importance of adhering to these the principles. I also believe that once you know the rules you can break the rules.
Other elements of composition to consider are line, shape, value, texture, color, direction, size, perspective, and space.
I recognize the importance of white space and not overwhelming the viewer with clutter. I design media intended to be read!
Identity/Brand Packages
A brand is a collection of images and ideas representing an entity. It is composed of concrete symbols such as a name, logo, slogan, and design scheme. A brand often includes fonts, color schemes, and symbols. These may be developed to represent values, ideas, and even personality.
I understand maintaining visual continuity and recognition across all manifestations of the brand.
Branding is important. Every business wants their identity to be recognized, and recognized in a good way.
